It started out with a joint dream
Our place started out with a joint dream. A dream to make something authentic, close to the nature of the Tatra Mountains, welcoming and inspiring with the design.
On August 9th, 2023, smack dab at the heart of the nature of the Tatra Mountains, at the altitude of 1000 meters, we founded Slow Tatry Boutique Resort, on which we had worked for 4 years. We restored a 36-year-old cottage while maintaining its original shape and we sectioned off fourteen separate rooms with a boutique vibe and a bistro.
Moreover, we have built three modern cottages and a forest SPA (opening soon), adjusting the architecture of the buildings to thirty-year-old noble Swiss pines and other vegetation endemic to this region. That is why we categorized our whole establishment as a boutique resort.
It is us, or rather our joint dream, which is responsible for the whole concept of Slow Tatry. A psychologist and an economist, so a fan of nature and an enthusiast of mountains. It is thanks to Grzegorz that you can find binoculars in the rooms with a view of the mountains, or you can rent crampons and headlamps. He takes care of the comfort of your arrival, parking, logistics and many other technical solutions. I, Dominika, dreamed up a perfect place for our guests to lay back and get inspired by the Polish designs. I am the one responsible for the design of interiors, for every single detail, and, together with our chef, I make sure our guests do not leave our establishment hungry, but rather well fed, in a hearty manner.
Magical place
Having been here for over a year, we do not have doubts that Slow Tatry is a magical place. Living here, we could observe foxes and deers strolling by our cottage or squirrels gorging on cones of Swiss pines and listen to the chirping of various birds. We have experienced an incredibly white winter, with waist-deep snow. We have planted a huge number of trees, shrubs and ferns in places which we personally selected for each of them.
We would like to share this place with you. We want to create an opportunity to slow down, celebrate moments worth experiencing, including connecting with nature. We needed such a space ourselves. We have put our hearts into ensuring everyone feels great here.
We would like to thank everyone who has decided to come here. For kind words, inspiring conversations and making this dream come true. The dream itself lives on whenever we notice someone for the first time at the reception desk, relishing flavors of our dishes in the bistro, resting by a fireplace, strolling in the garden.
